After two successful editions in Timișoara (2024) and Bucharest (2025), the Conference on Water Research for Young Scientists is becoming a reference event for research in the field of water. The conference is an opportunity for young scientists active in various disciplines, including ecology, chemistry and chemical engineering, biology, physics, geography, sociology etc. to present the results of their research. Moreover, it is our aim to support young researchers in developing transferable skills, in order to enhance their future career prospects. The event addresses students from Bachelor programmes up to postdoctoral fellows.
CWRYS 2026 is organised by The University of Bucharest, in collaboration with West University in Timișoara and Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. It is aimed as a joint effort to establish a milestone event of the academic community in the field of water research, as well as a dialogue framework among the academic institutions and practitioners and local authorities.
Nevertheless, the conference aims to include masterclasses on conference’s main topics with specialists in the field, workshops related to EU Mission 3 Restore our oceans and waters, as well as round tables on hot topics related to water, and to facilitate dialogue between employers and young talents in the field.
