2nd Conference on Water Research for Young Scientists

Bucharest, September 22^nd to 23^th, 2025

Positive feedback was generated by the pilot edition of the conference, held in Timișoara in October 2024. The multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to water research, including ecology, chemistry and chemical engineering, biology, physics, geography etc. provided excellent premises for debate among researchers and a framework for future collaborations. This emphasized the importance of regularly organizing events dedicated to water research for both the academic community and practitioners, including public authorities and private bodies in Romania.

The University of Bucharest, together with its long-term partners from West University in Timișoara and Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, is honoured to invite you to the 2^nd Conference on Water Research for Young Scientists, taking place between 22^nd and 24^th of September 2025, in Bucharest. The conference aims to promote the work of master and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral fellows active in the field of water research.

Apart from the presentation of scientific results, the conference will host a workshop related to EU Mission 3 Restore our oceans and waters, as well as training sessions for improving young researchers’ transferable skills. Moreover, the conference will facilitate dialogue between employers and young talents in the field, as well as between the trainers (academic institutions) and the employers.

2^nd Conference on Water Research for Young Scientists will be hosted by the premises of the University of Bucharest.
